Plan Your Visit
Location and Time:
The festival takes place on August 23–24, 2025, at Rosenholm Castle.
Opening hours:
Saturday: 10:00–17:00
Sunday: 10:00–16:00
Parking:
Parking is available in the lot directly across from the castle. It’s free and at your own risk. Parking attendants will be present.

Food and Drinks:
In the castle park, you will find a variety of food stalls to suit all tastes. You are welcome to buy food and drinks from the vendors—or bring your own and enjoy a picnic in the park.
Accessibility:
Unfortunately, the castle itself is not wheelchair accessible. This means that activities in Riddersalen, the cellars, and Troldmanstårnet are only accessible via stairs.
The castle park is wheelchair-friendly, though some areas have cobblestones and grass.
Eneboernes hule (The Hermit's Hideaway):
This is a quiet room in the cellar where you can take a break and recharge before returning to the festival activities.
Dogs:
Dogs are welcome at Hjelm Dyb Festival if kept on a leash (outdoors only). Service dogs are
allowed indoors.
Please consider whether your dog might be frightened by orcs and horses, and whether it is used to being around many children. Owners are expected to clean up after their dogs.

Is everything free once I have bought my ticket?
Most experiences at Hjelm Dyb Festival are included with your entry ticket.
However, some activities require registration, and for others, we recommend signing up in advance.

Activities that require registration:
VIP role in the live-action role-play: Register online by August 22. Fee: 100 DKK.
The Great Battle (Saturday at 15:30, and earlier on Sunday—exact time TBA):
Fee: 50 DKK + 20 DKK per extra life.
Registration is open online or at the festival info booth until 15:00 on both days.
The Great Battle takes place at Slagmarken.
Activities where we recommend registration:
Some talks are expected to be very popular. You can reserve a seat online until August 22 at 20:00 for 20 DKK. It works like a train reservation—you pay to guarantee a seat.
Alternatively, you can join Lykkeridernes Kø and be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
