Mette belongs to the old school of fantasy and plays with her own interpretation of Tolkien’s elves and wizards. Her trilogy, Children of the Sky Crystal, is a true journey of experience. Friendships and willpower are put to the test, and evil reveals itself in subtle and clever ways.

Desmer is grey on top and sharp-tongued. She calls herself a language painter and works at a slow pace. Desmer enjoys playing with the grand in the small and the not-so-epic. She also forms strong bonds with her characters.
She is bringing her debut novel Navari – a 620-page epic – to the festival, and there will be an opportunity to pre-order the upcoming prequel Fjendefødt, which is currently in beta.
