Follow in Bilbo’s furry footsteps as you embark on a perilous journey from Rivendell to Mordor. Solve Gollum’s riddles and experience the entire festival grounds like you have never seen them before!

Come and try your hand at LARP sword fighting!
Meet Østerskov Efterskole, where skilled students will guide you in becoming a true sword warrior.

Come and try your hand at shooting LARP bow and arrow like an elf, practicing elvish calligraphy with ink and quill og do sword training, so you are ready to meet a dragon. In exchange for some of your gold, you can also make a leather pouch.

Using special wax sheets, you can decorate your own candle. We provide the candles, and there is a wide selection of wax colors to choose from. You can cut your own designs or use one of our many templates.

In the cellar, you can meet Syddjurs Library, which offers fun activities for all ages. Try your hand at braiding your own bracelet, helping complete a giant Tolkien puzzle and learning about the Tolkien-themed signs placed around Syddjurs Municipality.
If you enjoy competitions, join in on Tolkien Book Bingo and see if you can get a full card. You can also dive into mystery and intrigue with a game of Werewolf—but beware: who is the bloodthirsty werewolf, and who is just an innocent, sleeping villager?

Step into the magic of Rosenholm Castle after hours with an exclusive guided tour — for just a little extra of your gold. Our knowledgeable guide will take you through the castle where the beloved Danish Christmas series Jul på Slottet was filmed.
We meet in the castle courtyard by one of the staircases 15 minutes before the tour begins. The guide will collect payment upon arrival.

Do you know how to train a dragon?
At the dragon area of Hjelm Dyb Festival, you can meet adorable dragons, pet them, and take magical photos together!

Witness the epic clash between the warriors of Hjelm Dyb and the necromancer’s undead army—a grand battle between good and evil, completely unscripted.

You can sign up to fight on either side for DKK 50. Each resurrection costs an additional DKK 20.

Join us for a musical workshop full of magic at Hjelm Dyb Festival! Warm up your voice and body with elven and wizard-inspired techniques, and sing songs from Tolkien’s universes.
If the mood is right, we might even give a pop-up concert!

Join a fun drawing workshop for ages 8–16 at Hjelm Dyb Festival and learn how to draw trolls! You will get drawing tips for two different types of trolls—both the friendly and the fearsome kind.
We will talk about pointy ears and tusks, big troll bellies, and giant warts. Looking forward to seeing you there!

When playing DnD, dungeon accessories are some of the most essential—and luckily, easiest—things to make. In this workshop, you will create dungeon tiles, walls, and pillars that can be used in any dungeon crawl.
There is no age requirement to participate, but you should be able to screw in a screw, paint, and draw with a pencil.
